Description from Target.com: "Michael Graves has given one of the world's oldest and most popular board games a facelift to create this unique and beautiful Monopoly edition. The game is in a handsome, cherry-stained hardwood and veneer case that folds out to become a pedestal for play. On the side of the case is a pullout drawer that keeps the money neat for the banker. All the pieces have been designed anew, with casts of Graves' popular modern appliances for play pieces, little blue houses and tall red hotels."
About the Designer: "Michael Graves, FAIA, has been at the forefront of architecture and design since he founded his practice in Princeton, New Jersey in 1964. Cited by Paul Goldberger, former New York Times critic, as "the most truly original voice American architecture has produced in some time," Graves has received many prestigious awards, including the 1999 National Medal of Arts from President Clinton and the 2001 Gold Medal from the American Institute of Architects. He is the Robert Schirmer Professor of Architecture, Emeritus, at Princeton University where he taught for nearly 40 years." Find out more about his work at michaelgraves.com.
